Discover the smart difference
Isn't every Manure Management Plan the same? After all, it's 'just' a manure plan, right?
Soil Sampling can't be that complicated, can it? It's just collecting bags of soil, right?
All Fertilizer Recommendations in Iowa use ISU's research and publication, don't they? There can't be that much difference, can there?
All Manure Management Plans are basically the same. The differences lie with MMP Preparers. If your MMP Preparer continues to do things the way they've always done them, it's probably costing you more than you think. It's time to bring your MMP out of the Dark Ages.
It's possible - likely, actually - that your Soil Sampler isn't the one in the field, physically pulling samples from the points on your report. Increasingly this task is contracted out, sometimes two to three outfits removed from who you thought you hired with that first phone call. For the most part, people are honest and should be given the benefit of the doubt, but when it comes to the costly decisions involved with soil fertility, we believe you shouldn't have to gamble.
It's hard to top the investment in fertilizer when it comes to input costs. We believe in solid Fertilizer Recommendations based on science. But we also believe in realistic Fertilizer Recommendations that don't cost you more than they should.
